Visiting Beijing for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), the President of the Gabonese Republic, Head of State, Brigadier General Brice Clotaire OLIGUI NGUEMA, met his counterpart Mr Xi Ping, President of the People's Republic of China, for a high-level dialogue.
FOCAC is a platform that fosters relations between African countries and China. It provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen economic cooperation between China and Gabon.
As a reminder, on Tuesday 03 September 2024, on the sidelines of FOCAC, Gabon organised the Gabon-China Economic Forum: a new economic partnership which concluded with the signing of several agreements and helped mobilise more than 4.300 billion dollars in private investment, particularly in the Public Works and Energy sectors, thereby strengthening relations between the two countries.
